Four candidates are running for three open seats on the Lake City City Council: Scott Bruns, Nicholas Allen Gorden, Eddie Mohr, and Adam Wilson. Bruns, Gordon, and Wilson are incumbents. Voters will take to the polls on Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2025.

Lake City hires new police chief
Jimmy James has been hired as Lake City’s new chief of police. James was sworn in by Mayor Mike Schleisman at the Sept. 15, 2025 city council meeting.
